a poem about this and that.

I have been caught
in a state of endless desire
between action and non-action.

The yin in me desparately wants…very little.
She wants simplicity and quiet,
writing and tea,
time and space to express,
freedom.

The yang claws at me for everything.
He wants the sky
and everything below it.
He sees opportunity and potential,
manifestation and fruition.
He sees legacy and
freedom.

The two within me are writhing enemies,
always pushing and pulling for his and hers.
They detest the others’ time, wanting more
as soon as the moon passes
and moves the energy to the next phase.

Caught in this deep pit of desire,
I am trapped in a space
which satisfies neither force within me.

To combine these forces would birth the new me,
a phoenix rising.

Who is this manifestation of both dark and light,
this child of Gods,
this fruit of Union?

why it is she,
Willow Drake
and
no one at all.
